Biography

Thomas Quigley

Thomas Quigley has arranged music in Ireland for the R.T.E. Concert Orchestra as well as the National Symphony Orchestra (N.S.O).  His orchestral arrangements  have been performed on radio and television and have featured on various albums for R.T.E. and Lyric F.M.  Some of his orchestral arrangements have been performed by professional orchestras in America and Australia.  His output for R.T.E. also includes arrangements for vocalists/ choir with Orchestra.   As a former student of the renowned Saint Columb's College in Derry, he was fortunate to have obtained his early musical education from the famous Derry composer/arranger Redmond Friel. He then completed his B.Mus. degree in University College Dublin.  During his years as Head of Music and Choral Director in Maryfield College, Dublin he won prestigious prizes in Feis Ceoil and the Cork International Choral and Dance Festival.  He also has completed many arrangements for choir and is particularly interested in publishing choral and instrumental works which he has completed over the years.
